Don't you just love pasta? It's comes in so many varieties and tastes so great when paired with different sauces. Pasta is also good for you because it contains proteins and carbohydrates. It's especially good for kids.

Pasta doesn't just taste wonderful, it's also cooks up fast and easy. It can perform well under all kinds of temperature conditions. The history of pasta consumption is a long one. Prior to the 18th century, pasta was eaten without sauce or cheese. The first people to add these delicious accompaniments were the Chinese. 
 You'll find that pasta has become popular all over the world, but it was the Italians who have come to claim it as their own. They have enriched the market with more than 300 varieties.



Have you ever wonder which shape is right for the dish you are preparing? Well, it depends on the sauce you are making to go with it. Usually thinner sauces pair with thinner pasta and thick sauces like thick pasta. You may want to enjoy trying different types of aromatic pastas, as well, such as, spinach, lemon and wheat.



Lasagna is a perennially popular pasta dish. It's name refers both to the bowl it's cooked in and the way it's displayed.



A lasagna dish is made by making multiple layers of pasta, cheese, meat, vegetables and either sour cream or tomato sauce. Another famous pasta dish is spaghetti. These are long thin noodles that are dried. They can be served plain but are best topped with olive oil or tomato sauce.



Macaroni is also a staple in many households. This type of past is tubular and curved. Its small stubby shape is good with cheese.
