A Great Coffee Brand Worth A Try

By Mike Hanigan

I recently came back into contact with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in years. He was now living two thousand miles away in California. As we caught up, we began to talk about coffee and our favorite brews.

One of the places I chose to mention was a new establishment near my apartment that genuinely served up the best cup of coffee I've ever tasted. He had never tried this place, but insisted that the best cup of coffee I'll ever have was at a place near his house in California. He even promised to mail me some beans.

He was simply addicted to this coffee, as he'd buy it from the store to bring it back home and brew himself. He liked it so much that he began to yearn for it while the subject came up.

I had to see what all the hype was about at this point. Being the generous friend that he is, he agreed to send me some beans by mail so that I could get a taste of his favorite coffee for myself.

Lo and behold, a package arrived at my door a few days ago with a return address from San Francisco. He had sent me a large bag of these coffee beans, and they came from a company called the Blue Bottle company.

The bag of beans even came with instructions about how to filter drip the best possible tasting cup. I followed their directions word for word and ended up with my first cup just a few minutes later.

If you want to know how the coffee was, here's my review. First off, I should say that he's not the only person to swear that this coffee is the best he's ever had. Many people say the same thing.

After trying it, I have to say that I was pretty impressed. I'm not to the point where I'd go out of my way to get on their mail order list, but these are definitely some of the smoothest beans I've ever had the privilege of tasting.
