How to eat caviar without looking like a fool: a simple and useful guide to newbies

Caviar is a gourmet food. This essentially means that there are rules that come with eating the dish. In order to enjoy your dining experience, it is important that you learn how to eat caviar.

It is important to use the required equipment when cooking and serving the food to retain its rich flavor. This includes completely avoiding the use of metallic utensils as these give the food a metallic taste.

Instead, one has the option of using plastic, wood and utensils mad from animal bones or ceramic. Also, glass can be used especially when it comes to serving the food.

When serving the food, serve in small portions, and then eat it in a single bite. One of the most popular ways the food is served is by spreading it on toast. It can also be mixed with the egg white and yolk and eaten as an appetizer.

Eating the food without any kind of garnish is recommended. But if you prefer, can also garnish the food using lemon or onions. Accompaniments that can be used include champagne. The food should be served cold and bland or with unsalted crackers so as not to interfere with the taste of the caviar. The simpler the eating process the better. You can enjoy the dish straight from the can it was bought it.

Given that the food is quite a delicacy, it is proper to exercise proper self control when serving oneself in group settings. This means that you should not serve yourself too much food as etiquette demands that one serves themselves not more than two teaspoons of caviar at a go.

Another way of how to eat caviar is by incorporating it in other recipes. You can use cheaper versions of caviar and use it as an ingredient in one of your dishes. The other option is to use it as a garnish when serving other dishes.
