There is no better type of present for a special occasion than a wine gift basket. Not only can the hamper be customized to suit the taste and needs of the recipient, but preparing it takes only a few minutes. It is a great way to give a homemade treasure to someone special.

When it comes to showing someone how important they are, there is no better method than giving a homemade present. The gift is easy to create and is assembled in a matter of minutes. The final product will likely be incredible.

Creating a Basket

It will only take a few simple steps to get things together when it comes to a gift basket. Just gather all of the items that will be placed in the basket and then the project can begin. The easiest way to ensure that everything is remembered is to make a list before going shopping.

The very first step is to decide on a theme or think about the occasion that warrants the gift. Customizing a basket for a birthday might be made more special if a cupcake is added or champagne instead of wine should be used for a wedding anniversary. Theme baskets should fully represent the chosen subject. Celebration of a football game should include hot wings or the ingredients for nachos. A movie night basket might have a couple movies and some popcorn.

Finding the supplies for the gift is quite easy. Simply go down to any craft supply store and purchase a large basket, some colored tissue paper, and a ribbon that matches the event. Pick colors that reflect the celebration without clashing with items in the hamper.

After all the elements of the basket are gathered, the food supplies need to be purchased. Nearly all grocery stores carry some type of gourmet cheese, crackers and a selection of wines. Other items that should be included cookies, pastries or summer sausage. Condiments such as mustard and jelly are also nice to include.

Putting things together is pretty straightforward. Put balled up pieces of tissue paper into the basket to hold all the ingredients in place. This will help reduce any sort of shifting or movement during transport of the gift. The first item that should be put in is the wine and then the other items are placed around the bottle. After all items are in put a ribbon on top or around the hamper to add that special touch.

Preparing an amazing wine gift basket is not difficult. Simply make a theme decision and buy items that the recipient likes. Place each item with great care and top things off with a lovely bow. In no time at all, a wonderful gift is created.
