Common Signs Of Bed Bug Bites

What are the symptoms of bed bug bites? Okay on rising in the morning you might notice an indurated rash throughout your body along with itching. These are the most common bed bug bite symptoms.

Before we discuss the symptoms let's take a look at what the bed bug signs. These are little oval insects that do not fly and belong to the insect family group Cimicidae. They have flat bodies measuring roughly 5 to 7 mm and are a brown orange color. These insects like mattresses and sofas as its habitat therefore the name bed bug.

You may have heard horror stories of bed bugs in hotels. The mattresses are where they hide waiting for their victim. There are parasites and nourish by sucking the blood of animals and humans and are nocturnal creatures. A bite from a bed bug is far itchier than that of a mosquito bite and can only be experienced an hour or so after being bitten.

Bed bugs contain an anesthetic in their saliva and they can suck blood without any interruption that ultimately prevents the clotting of the blood. Bed bug bite symptoms are usually elevated rashes and found about an hour following the bite. Few people may respond after a couple of days and some several weeks, it will all depend upon the body's response to the toxins in the saliva of the bed bug.

Bed bug bite signs can present with a red circular bump and swells more than a mosquito bite. It takes time for the rash to spread over the body. When these symptoms are noticed then you know for sure you have been bitten by bed bugs.

People who roll around during their sleep are more prone to been bitten. There are individuals that can even experience allergic reactions, and in some cases although atypical bed bugs bites can result in anaphylaxis. Should this occur seek medical care quickly.
