New York City - The Leading Home For Some Of The Most Admired Pizzas

By Tammy B. Harden

Pizza is dispersed very ably all over the five boroughs in New York City.

The finest pizza places are found in America and this is the area to find them, in fact they are the best in the whole world. You would be looking at places like Brooklyn and Manhattan that are famous for their wonderful pizzerias.

The pizza industry has been here from time immemorial, as old as 80 years. There are some new comers into the pizza business though and they have learnt so fast from the masters that it is now very difficult to tell the difference. It all adds up to healthy competition.

Now the new entrants today in the New York pie business are names such as Neapolitan pizza pie. It is popular for its tiny and round pies that cook very well to high heat and uses the freshest of ingredients. They are followed by Williamsburg's Motorino and also Keste.

Some of the best pizza parlors have been here for donkey years, but the Lombardi's beats them all. It is located North of Little Italy, and dishes out pizzas by the pie from their coal oven and here they do not cut slices. It is simply the oldest pizzeria in the whole of New York City.

Well, for those who expect to get slices of pizza to walk around with, simply know that New Yorkers get very committed to their chosen pizza joints. Including this writer, many would not want to be persuaded otherwise. I find Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village very appetizing. You could also check out one of the newest called Artichoke Pizza that is located at East Village.

Also a look at Brooklyn will show that they are not short of great pizzerias, starting all the way from Williamsburg and over to Fort Greene. You will see many wonderful and historic pizza places all over.

Find the greatest pizzas in Midwood, at Di Fara Pizzeria that is some distance though it is always worth the extra journey as they serve the best thin crust pizza.
