Getting Outdoors In The Summer Is Brilliant Fun

By Louise Fisher

Every place that is level can be camped in. Within reason of course. Because there are so many places that you can actually camp, it is a fun and cheap option for holidays or just a fun weekend away. For those who don't like going away, camping can be done even just in the garden, nice and close to home.

Most music festivals that happen over multiple days offer the option of staying overnight, and that involves camping. Places like Download, and Glastonbudget, have large areas for camping in. You provide the rest. Camping at music festivals is always a fun experience, and it has a real community feel; if you have a problem, the tent next door can probably help out or fix it for you. Camping at a music festival is therefore good for first time campers, as you've plenty of help around.

Choosing plastic furniture over wood is a good idea for those who throw regular summer parties yet keep outdoor furniture stored in the winter. This is because they are durable, and easy to clean, so once they've spent a good six months in the shed, they're good to go after a quick spray and wipe. It is easy to stack also, being lightweight and all, meaning it doesn't take up much room when it is time to store them away.

Camping in the spring is the best idea. There is rain, but only light showers; and sun, but not scorching hot. However, tents are equipped with covers and such to deal with extremer weathers, meaning that even if it takes a turn for the worst it's easy to cope with.

A large tent is a good idea, with an awning in the middle or on the side; this means that if it rains you still have somewhere to be sheltered and relaxed in, making it fun.
