For example, the gardening advice given for planting is pretty much uniform. You must place plants where they will have room to grow so they don't overcrowd each other. Good air flow is a plus, and plants must be in a position where they will receive adequate amounts of sunlight. Advice will always tell you to add some type of nutrients to the soil to lead to better plant growth, such as mulch or compost.

Gardening advice on watering plants is a little more varied, because every type of plant needs different amounts of water. For example, you wouldn't want to water a cactus near as much as you water a tomato plant. How much you water will obviously also depend on where you live, the climate, and how much rain your area receives.

Fertilizer is such an important substance that is required by the plants not only the time of their planting but also in the entire lifetime. So, plants are required to be given proper amount of fertilizer several times in their lifetime. The type of fertilizer depends on the pH level and the content of soil of your garden. Applying compost is a good practice as it is good not only for the soil but also for the plants. From different source you will be able to know the preparing procedure of compost and the suitable time to apply it.

It is very important to have much knowledge about insects, diseases and treatment of plants. Pests are simply the enemy for plants. You should try to get rid of pests as soon as possible or you may lose your entire garden. Different pesticides and chemicals are applied to damage pests. You should know what chemicals are better and what are devastating for your beloved plants.

Gardening is not an easy task; you have to fight against many outside forces, such as weather, insects, disease, and weeds. Even the most seasoned of gardeners will seek out gardening advice once in a while. Who wouldn't when there are so many forces that could take a garden out?
