A Chocolate Candy Variation

By Allyson Westcot

When chocolate was initially introduced to the western world in the 1500s, it was a bitter, pungent drink kind of like a spicy hot cocoa. As it caught on in renown, many people started to experiment with alternate ways to use the cacao beans to make different kinds of chocolate. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and at last white chocolate were all invented.

At first, though, chocolate was a rare commodity, a special luxury, and was only ever eaten on its own. It wasn't till the 1800s when chocolate got more and more available that, in a stroke of genius, chocolate began being mixed with other sweets to make candy.

Think about all the possibilities for creativity and discovery! It had been a rapidly growing industry and different sorts of chocolate started to become popular. One of the most engaging sides of the chocolate industry is the room for creativeness and the numerous different sorts of gourmet chocolates that may be made.

Ever since peanut brittle recipes appeared in recipe books during the 1800s, it has grown in popularity as well. Different recipes and sorts of peanut candies have been dreamt up. Then, because chocolate is the special ingredient that can improve almost any candy, chocolate-dipped soft peanut brittle candy was attempted. It's become one of many people's favourites, and shows the delectable results of years of discovery and progress in the chocolate industry.

We all love choosing the perfect chocolate as a gift for a friend or family member or as a treat for ourselves! There is a chocolate for everybody and every circumstance. But there are connoisseur candies beyond chocolate, that taste wonderful with or without it, just waiting to be discovered. Soft peanut brittle is one of the many treats that isn't as common as something like standard brittle or common chocolates, which makes it more special as a surprise or a present.
