Well, the sun is out weather is improving and the days are getting longer. Turf companies across the UK and beyond are preparing for another season. While the recession and pending drought have hit the pockets of many consumers, business owners know they need to market themselves correctly and diversify to thrive. In this economic climate their is only one way to survive - Adapt.

We ensued our turfing outfit decades past. The baton of our business has been given throughout the generations, to the next son. We have seen our industry in demand during the days when fields of green we're cleared in a fortnight. When the riches and long prosperous summer we're seemingly never-ending. So it is with some sadness that businesses our struggling. However, if you're willing to work at it, financial returns can come back.

Analysis of Google trends notes the line spikes in April, not only for turf, but other affiliate services too. Principle of which is decking. More and more home-owners supplement a beautiful lawn with fresh decking at the fore-front. Fencing and tree-surgery too grown in demand through out spring and summer. As a landscaping company you're in a prime-position to exploit this opportunity and up-sell other services.

Perhaps you'll respond that you're not skilled in these other jobs. Now, you're more than welcome to pass any enquiries to other friends, but that's a lost opportunity. Neither is too hard to master. One day in the past you mastered turfing, you understood how to use the rotovator, to sow the seed. You can learn this too. Fencing and decking can be learnt with perseverance.

So before you turn to your accountant and contrast like-for-like sales take a few moments to investigate the opportunities at your fingers tips. In every crisis there is an opportunity.
