Some Suggestions on How You Can Have A Beautiful Lawn

By Maren Nordmann

You could have a beautiful lawn without needing to use risky chemicals. You can actually have a healthier garden if you don't apply any Toshiba l675 chemicals. Applying chemicals doesn't only affect the soil but it will poison the water you drink. You will get your grass off of drugs by using the following guidelines.

The most effective weed control is usually to simply pull them out of the ground as demonstrated on our blog (telescope reviews). Nearly all weeds tend to be annuals, so if you remove them before they go to seed, they won't come back. Some others might have root systems that have to be taken out so they won't grow back. Weeds, such as clover, are actually advantageous weeds that should be tolerated. The health and beauty of your lawn will be elevated by leaving the clover, because it is a nitrogen magic plant. It is beneficial to get a soil test kit to see what the composition of your soil is. You can also determine the pH balance and even what nutrients are absent in your soil.

When your lawn has bald areas, re-seed using a mixture of different grass varieties. Disease happens to be a common occurrence but it will not affect all types of grass so the mixture will guarantee some growth. To prevent your grass becoming a heavy thatch, don't forget to break it up and aerate the soil. This will allow the roots to obtain the nutritional value from the soil. Earthworms will aerate your grass better than any other thing. Whenever the level of thatch is more than a half-inch thick, you should get it de-thatched. A myriad of issues happen when the thatch keeps the air, water and nutrients from getting to the soil. Thatching can be eliminated if you rake your lawn shortly after you aerate it.

It is good to have a little thatch and grass clippings since it will help with decomposing organic matter which will improve the health of your lawn. You need to keep the height of the grass at two or three inches, and to keep the grass from going into shock, only a third of the height should be cut at any one time. In order to prevent grass damages, you should have your mower blades properly sharpened. Never apply anything but natural fertilizers, because they not only insert nutrients into the soil, but they help them stay there longer. Grass clippings in addition to thatch will decompose more effectively in organic fertilizer and the one that is often recommended is sheep manure.

Make sure you exclusively water when your lawn needs it, and get the water down deeply. The roots will be shallow and have better probability of disease and insects if you don't water properly. Once you follow these methods, you will have a beautiful lawn that everyone will envy.
