What Kind Of Restrictions On The Medifast Plan?

By Howard Dwinger

On the Medifast program, you eat six meals a day. Specifically, you will eat five prepackaged meals and then one lean and green meal which you will need to prepare. People often ask how they can fit six meals into one day. They wonder if there is a need to follow a particular schedule. Indeed, many diets say that they will not work if anything is eaten after 7 p.m.

The reason for this that the metabolism needs a while to work before you go to sleep. One of the women beginning Medifast, however, realized that she needed to eat an evening snack. She wondered if it would throw off her diet program or her metabolism, and what the logistics would be. Fortunately, Medifast meals are built around your timetable and can be eaten at any time of day, according to your convenience and schedule.

This is very important because many people have hectic schedules and cannot always eat all 6 meals before 7 p.m. Fortunately, there is a trick which is to eat the biggest meal, the lean and green meal, earlier in the day. For example, it would be good to eat this meal for lunch.

The reason why this works is that it means that you will be eating the smaller meals, which have no more than 100 calories, in the evening. Accordingly, your body should not have trouble metabolizing the food and you will continue to loss weight.

There are a great many people who are concerned about the time of day when they eat their meals. They worry about the metabolism not helping them to burn calories if they eat at night. That is why this has been addressed here and a helpful plan has been given so that no worry should happen.

However, if somebody on the Medifast plan is truly worried about eating late in the evening, they can choose to eat several meals together in the middle of the day so that they do not need to eat in the evening.

It is ideal if you can work out a schedule where you spread out the meals in the Medifast program over the whole day, but we do not live in a world that is ideal. Spacing them out is great, but you can also just eat whenever you feel hungry, which means you pay attention to your body. Or some people have to eat when their schedule allows.

Every life has practical things that you have to deal with such as when you are some place but you are not ready to eat or do not have your food with you. That means you have the leeway to figure out your own lifestyle and put the six meals in when you can. If you know this you won't be daunted and can take and keep your weight off as time goes on.
